A 34-year-old Diamond resident was yesterday remanded to prison after she pleaded guilty to unlawful wounding.Cheryl Rambaran,Angelo Henriquez Chile Jersey, on April 30, last with the intent to maim, disfigure or cause grievous bodily harm,Air Max 90 Black And White For Sale, allegedly unlawfully wounded Carol Beaton. Rambaran appeared in court before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson and pleaded not guilty.Rambaran, who resides at Lot 2 Diamond,Gordon Hayward Jersey, East Bank Demerara, explained that on the day in question she and a friend had ventured to a Camp Street nightspot to hang out.She said that her friend went to the bar and made a purchase.Rambaran further claimed that after her friend returned the two began dancing and it was at this point that she felt someone touch her on the back.She said that she turned around and saw that it was Carol Beaton.“My worship this is de first time that I see this woman and she asked me if I could remember her.”According to Rambaran, the woman started to argue with her and hurled the contents of a beer bottle in her face.“We start to fight”. The woman said that her friend separated the two.She claimed that after the fight she left the nightspot and was getting a drop home from a friend,Andre Branch Dolphins Jersey, when she felt someone pulling her off the bike.“When I look around I see a whole set of people and they all started beating me.”The woman claimed that she picked up a bottle and broke it and just started to stab whoever was in front of her, in self-defence.However Carol Beaton, who was present in court,Anders Nilsson Jersey, told a different version of the story.She claimed that she was at the nightspot when Rambaran and her friend had a fight.The woman said that she parted the two.“Meh worship I was going to the toilet and all I see is this woman come up to me with a object and cut me in my face.”According to Beaton she was slashed about the body with a sharp object, sustaining injuries to the lips,2018 Nike Air Max 90 Essential, breasts, and arms.Police prosecutor Denise Griffith verified Beaton’s version of the story. Rambaran was denied bail and is expected to make another court appearance on May 25.
