Indar Raghubir who was in the back seat with his mother was also killed instantly.The two injured persons were picked up at the scene and rushed to the Georgetown Hospital where they underwent emergency surgery for head injuries and shattered bones.So badly damaged was Indira Raghubir’s left hand that the bone could be seen protruding as she lapsed in and out of consciousness.The driver of the car reportedly told investigators that he was proceeding east along the road when Richmond-Hinds suddenly fell asleep and fell over to his side of the car.He stated that this caused him to lose control of the vehicle.His wife Dianne Cameron who traveled to the Georgetown Hospital immediately after receiving news of the tragedy, told this newspaper that her husband left home at around 04:30 hours to make an early trip to the city.
